Yoga Chikitsa - Yoga Therapy
Throughout 2020 and 2021, I have been studying Yoga Therapy 200hrs Yoga Alliance Professionals accredited CPD course. Yoga Therapy is a holistic approach to health and wellbeing where we assess you in-depth, doing our best to find the root cause of any problems you have and supporting you to find health, happiness and harmony in your life. Using a variety of Yogic techniques from the Sanatan Yoga Tradition as well as really listening to you, we create a safe space for you to explore your own feelings, emotions and ground yourself. The beauty of Yoga Therapy is that we look deeply at every single aspect of you including your diet, lifestyle, sleeping patterns, yogic and Ayurvedic bodily constitutions.
During my studies, I was extremely fortunate to be able to work directly with several people learning how to support them in many different ways. This has given me the opportunity to have a particular interest in working with care seekers who wish to explore the balance of their lives. This could be anxiety, hormonal, stress-related, depression, menstrual, menopausal and finding balance in everyday life.
What are Yoga Therapy Sessions like?
Yoga Therapy Sessions are specially tailored and designed classes with one thing at the centre - you. These sessions reflect how you currently feel and your individual needs at the time. Your needs are very personal and I would be honoured if you would choose me to help you work through them. Using yogic techniques, we work through your issues, slowly and with care.
Your needs could be:
- Developing a daily yoga practice
- Physical yogic exercise
- Experiencing deep guided relaxations
- Guided breathing techniques
- Energy Enhancement (Pranayama)
- Deep-rooted past memories and traumas
- Low feelings
- Anxieties
- Helping you to find balance in your busy day to day life
- Helping you to relieve stress and tensions
- Work through deep emotions and feelings
- Lifestyle issues and suggestions
- Exploring yogic philosophical concepts and applying them to your life
These sessions can take place in a safe environment of your choice either online, in your home or in a COVID secure venue (Government COVID-19 Guidelines apply). In our safe environment, we can work on your yogic development, create a sense of harmony and concentrate on relieving any issues you have whether they be physical, mental, emotional or absolutely anything.
During a session, we will discuss anything that needs addressing and then explore many different yogic techniques to support you to find equilibrium.
How many sessions will I need?
It’s up to you how many sessions you feel you might need to find some balance but I would recommend at least 6 sessions to build the foundations of good practice and work through anything that needs attention. The first session would be lots of talking with me asking you questions so I can get to know you as well as I can to make sure that we can personalise the practice to your needs and wants. This information is placed into an ongoing assessment form that forms the basis of my care for you.
Payment Details
I am currently offering a block discount of £40 per hour, £240 for 6 sessions. Or you could pay individually for £50 per hour, concessions available, please get in touch to talk things through with me or fill out my registration form to show your interest and I will respond as soon as I can.
