Consistency is the key

28th January 2021 in Updates with

Namaste beautiful souls.

I am writing to let you all know what is going on in the world of YogIsie this January. I'm sure we have all found ourselves in another challenging situation, as I am sure many of us are. I am reminded of many Satsangas (spiritual discussions) I had during my training with the amazing Yogachariya Jnandev and Yogacharini Deepika who reminded us all that the Universe sends us challenges to make us stronger, better and more resilient. This very evening I was listening to Yogachariya Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani discussing the yogic concept of veerya, and this resonated with me as the courage a warrior has to keep going, no matter what. To keep going and battling through these challenges with sincerity, commitment, mindfulness and consistency.

Consistency is one thing that I have found extremely useful during this lockdown. I have pushed myself to get up early, practice my Asana and/or Pranayama and take some time to concentrate on me, my body, my breath and my soul. And, in all honesty, I'm finding it is giving me the strength to carry on, the strength to get through this, the strength to see a light on the horizon. And, to know, deep within that together we can make it through. As Ammaji of Ananda Ashram, Pondicherry, India reminds us, Yoga (union of the energies of the body, mind and soul) is supported through maintaining the 3 Rs; Rhythm, Regularity and Repetition.

To keep up with the 3 Rs, I am continuing to offer the our weekly practices together, Wednesday lunchtime we practice Pranayama, Wednesday evening and Thursday evening we practice Hatha Asana. We can also practice one to one (please get in touch). I'm offering your first session free, please check out this page for more information

January 2021 Update

2nd January 2021 in Updates with

Namaste and Happy New Year to all you beautiful souls! I continue to feel a sense of gratitude that I was able to practice with you all throughout 2020 and I really look forward to this continuing in 2021. I celebrated teaching for 1 year in December 2020 and am pleased to be able to continue teaching throughout 2021 with the help of the Internet.

The classes available starting the first week of January 2021 are:

  • Wednesdays at 1:30pm -  30 minutes of pranayama. Energy enhancement to support the release, recharging and relaxing of the energetic body.
  • Wednesdays at 7:45pm -  1 hour and 15 minutes of Hatha Asana.
  • Thursdays at 7:30pm - 1 hour and 15 minutes of Hatha Asana. Both Hatha Asana practices are a great way to move the body in a mindful way, supporting the healthy functions of the body, mind, soul and energy.
  • Also available for online personally tailored 1:1 sessions, please enquire about availability.

More information can be found on my website

All classes will be held on Zoom as we await news from Long Ashton Community Centre about its reopening sometime in the Spring. As I would like to continue to offer classes at the Centre I will be donating some funds to help support the reopening, I will also help to fund raise because I believe without this Centre, our community will suffer. We really do need places like this to help us not only practice together, but be part of our close knit community.

I wish you and your family a healthy and happy 2021

Big love, as always

Isie xx

Midweek Release, Recharge and Relax

9th November 2020 in Updates with 0 Comments

I have started a new midweek online Zoom session on a Wednesday at 1:30pm. This will be initially for the England Lockdown with a view to being extended if interest is there. This is a wonderful opportunity to let go and release all those stresses that build up through the week. Using different pranayama (energy enhancement using the breath) techniques, we then recharge the body, mind and soul to help us get through these challenging times. The session is finished with a lovely guided relaxation. All my techniques follow the Sanatan Yoga classical and authentic style. The first session is free and £3 after. Once you have booked the session, a Zoom link will be sent to you. To find out more information or to book a session please contact me on Facebook email me on yogisie3@gmail.com or use my Contact form

Pranayama Example – Anuloma Viloma

21st September 2020 in Videos with

This pranayama is great for helping to restore the body, mind and soul’s natural balance by realigning the body’s polarity. The mind is quietened through deep rhythmic breathing and you feel naturally grounded soothing the soul.
