Namaste beautiful souls. I am writing to let you all know what is going on in the world of YogIsie this January. I’m sure we have all found ourselves in another challenging situation, as I am sure many of us are. I am reminded of many Satsangas (spiritual discussions) I had during my training with the amazing Yogachariya Jnandev and Yogacharini Deepika who reminded us all that the Universe sends us challenges to make us stronger, better and more resilient. This very evening I was listening to Yogachariya Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani discussing the yogic concept of veerya, and this resonated with me as the courage a warrior has to keep going, no matter what. To keep going and battling through these challenges with sincerity, commitment, mindfulness and consistency. Consistency is one thing that I have found extremely useful during this lockdown. I have pushed myself to get up early,…
Namaste and Happy New Year to all you beautiful souls! I continue to feel a sense of gratitude that I was able to practice with you all throughout 2020 and I really look forward to this continuing in 2021. I celebrated teaching for 1 year in December 2020 and am pleased to be able to continue teaching throughout 2021 with the help of the Internet. The classes available starting the first week of January 2021 are: Wednesdays at 1:30pm – 30 minutes of pranayama. Energy enhancement to support the release, recharging and relaxing of the energetic body. Wednesdays at 7:45pm – 1 hour and 15 minutes of Hatha Asana. Thursdays at 7:30pm – 1 hour and 15 minutes of Hatha Asana. Both Hatha Asana practices are a great way to move the body in a mindful way, supporting the healthy functions of the body, mind, soul and energy. Also available…

I have started a new midweek online Zoom session on a Wednesday at 1:30pm. This will be initially for the England Lockdown with a view to being extended if interest is there. This is a wonderful opportunity to let go and release all those stresses that build up through the week. Using different pranayama (energy enhancement using the breath) techniques, we then recharge the body, mind and soul to help us get through these challenging times. The session is finished with a lovely guided relaxation. All my techniques follow the Sanatan Yoga classical and authentic style. The first session is free and £3 after. Once you have booked the session, a Zoom link will be sent to you. To find out more information or to book a session please contact me on Facebook email me on yogisie3@gmail.com or use my Contact form
I have now placed a PayPal Donate button on my website for anyone wishing to pay for my services using PayPal. You can find it at the bottom of every page in the footer menu
At the beginning of October I completed the Emergency First Aid for Work 1 day training through Cardiff First Aid Centre. I believe that having this means I can make sure our sessions are as safe as possible. To find out more about my classes please click here. The day was great! We were met by Alan Elsworthy, the course leader who spent time getting to know us all. This was perfect for the rest of the day because Alan was able to make many of the key points related to our lines of work. I found it great because Alan is also a Yoga Teacher (this was one of the other reasons for me choosing to carry out this course with Cardiff First Aid Centre). I would highly recommend Alan and the Cardiff First Aid Centre to anyone wishing to complete a First Aid Course. Alan had also made…
A few weeks ago, I discussed the first principle of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, Ahmisa (non-violence). The next Yogic core principle that I try and incorporate into my everyday life is Satya (truthfulness). When most people think of this they think of not lying, being deceitful and telling others what they need to hear. When I consider Satya, I think of honesty and respect. It is easy to be honest with others, but can we do it in a respectful way? Also making sure to consider Ahimsa (non-violence). Will our honesty hurt others, and importantly, ourselves? Another aspect to consider is the Satya (truthfulness) in our thoughts. They have more influence than we know. They can change how we perceive someone, how we perceive ourselves, even without knowing it. Making us harmful to ourselves and others. So maybe try and watch your thoughts, how are you thinking? Are your thoughts harmful…
I am so pleased to announce that my new group in-person class held at Long Ashton Community Centre has started successfully, despite all the new COVID-19 developments. The Centre have been working really hard and have made sure that the space is COVID-19 secure so we can continue the classes. I have reduced the number of people attending to 6 instead of the 12 slots available to make sure we can continue to be as safe as possible, I hope in time this number can be increased. This also means that my class is currently fully booked for the next 4 weeks!! If you’d like to join, please send your Join Now form and I can let you know of available dates, Namaste 🙏
